What is Plexaderm??The claim is it will diminish bags under the eyes and lines on your face in just minutes. Plexaderm is made by True Earth Health Products, and it contains silicates and hyaluronic acid which are said to lift wrinkles, tighten bags, and create a smoother, healthier, younger looking complexion all without prescriptions, expensive injections, or painful surgery.

My mature aging skin can absolutely use a little lifting and tightening, so why not give it a try. I read the reviews and didn’t find many negative reviews at all; the photos and videos looked great. (Most of the reviews are done by folks who are affiliates I felt this needed to be said) Needless to say, I still wanted to see if it really works.

The price is a little high for my taste, I’m more of a beauty on a budget kind of woman. Right now on the Plexaderm website the product is 50% off which is $59.95 so full price for a 30 day supply is $119.90. You can order samples for $14.95 before splurging on the full bottle.

What Does It Do?

According to the makers of Plexaderm, these are results you should expect:

  • a decrease in the appearance of under-eye bags
  • a decrease in the appearance of dark circles under eyes
  • a decrease in the appearance of crow’s feet & wrinkles surrounding the eyes
  • a decrease in the appearance of smile lines
  • a visual decrease in the depth of forehead lines

How Does It Work

Again, this is according to the website this is how they say it works:

  • The silicate minerals from shale clay form a temporary tightening layer on your skin
  • The invisible layer works to visibly tighten and lift wrinkles around your eyes in minutes
  • It smooths skin surrounding under-eye bags making them shrink in minutes
  •  The results are not permanent, but you’ll love the way you look after your very first use

You can go to their website and find this and much more information including before and after photos and testimonials. https://www.plexaderm.com/

Depending on if you go by what the tube says or what the website and infomercial say it takes 3-10 minutes for it to dry and the results to show. The tube the product comes in says to remain expressionless 3-5 minutes. The website and commercials say 10 minutes. I tried both ways and the results were the same. I also used my blow dryer to see if it dried and set faster, and it did so if you’re in a hurry break out the blow dryer!

My Results

My before and after photos are posted below. You can see a difference; my bags are almost gone. I didn’t do my full face because my under eyes are what bother me most so I concentrated on just the eyes for now

Once you apply the product you are to remain expressionless for approximately 10 minutes while it dries. During this time, you can actually feel your skin tightening as the product dries.

I added a third photo of me with my make-up on. Since I wear make-up every day it was really important to see how it holds up under foundation etc. I was pleasantly surprised with the results!!My face looks smooth and the bags under my eyes are barely there, so I was happy with these results!

The Catch

Oh yes, there is always a catch! The results only lasted a few hours, so if you were heading out for a long day it may not hold up the entire day without reapplying. It wouldn’t be something I would choose to wear everyday say for work, but going out or for pictures and things of that nature, I would 100% be using it.

On the website they do suggest only using powder products where you have placed the Plexaderm. I found that made it look very cakey and it cracked, I do have very dry skin under my eyes. The powder products may work for a more hydrated under eye, but if you’re skin is very dry I would use powder sparingly.

I will also note on the website it recommends using their moisturizer for best results. If you use your own choice of moisturizer, it should be oil free. I do use a lot of serums and moisturizer under the eyes because my eye area is very dry. (The rest of my face is an oil pit)

Would I Recommend It To A Friend?

My recommendation would be if you’re interested in trying it out order the samples for the $14.95 first rather than jumping in on the full bottle. Based on my experience I wouldn’t use it for everyday all-day wear. You may have a different result altogether.

Going out a few hours or getting pictures taken I say a huge yes!! I would also say that because I’m more a beauty on a budget woman I would want that bottle to last a lot longer than 30 days!!

Overall, in my opinion it does do what it promises. It tightens, firms, and covers the dark circles and gives an overall smoother looking under eye.

Would I spend $119.90 or even $59.95 a month every month for it, no. As I’m on a tight budget it would be a huge splurge for me and there are other things I need or would rather buy. Would I purchase it a couple times a year for pictures and special occasions to look my best/? Yes absolutely!.

Have you tried Plexaderm? Or been curious if it works? I would love to know your thoughts and experiences with this product. Please leave a comment and let us know.
