Let’s Talk Lume

Per the Lume website Lume Deodorant is clinically proven to control odor all day and for up to 72 hours. It is a whole body deodorant and yes that does really mean the WHOLE body (pits, underboobs, belly buttons, tummy folds, butt cracks, thigh creases, vulvas, balls, and feet!). Lume does not cover up or neutralize odor it blocks it from happening in the first place.First Impression
First impression I opened a tube expecting a pleasant smell of Warm Vanilla. Instead, I was hit with the smell of vomit. Trying to stay positive I thought maybe the Lavender Sage would have a better smell, no it was actually worse.But Did I Try It Anyway?
Needless to say it did take a few days to get the courage to actually give it a try. I tried the Warm Vanilla first and lasted about 15-20 minutes before jumping in the shower to wash it off. I have a weak stomach and kept gagging due to the putrid odor. A few days later I gave the Lavender Sage a try and thought I might be able to pull off wearing it for a day. After an hour the smell of vomit was still more than I could deal with, so I showered and washed it off. I attempted both scents 2 more times and was just not able to get past the unpleasant odor. My sister on the other hand Is tougher than I am and was able to overcome the putrid scent. You can read about her experience with Lume here. She covers everything in more detail and does say it did control her body odor. I cannot speak to any of the product claims as I just could not get past the scent of vomit.Would I Recommend It?
I like to end with a would I or wouldn’t I recommend it section. For this product I can’t give an answer because I just couldn’t go a whole day with it.
