Am I the only one who laughed every time they saw the ads for these foundations that are supposed to magically match your complexion? You know we had to try it to see what it’s all about. I was definitely very skeptical but also extremely curious if what they claim is true. Can this really adjust and magically match every skin tone?

Before anyone comes at me with hateful comments, no I don’t have eyebrows which is a story for another time. What you get with my reviews are fully transparent and honest. This is me before I draw on my fake brows. Unfiltered, untouched real pictures.

What They Claim

Per the TLM website:  TLM is a Flawless Color Changing Foundation this revolutionary new white liquid foundation can instantly adjust to match your exact skin tone. The exclusive technology contains shade detection beads which are encapsulated pigments that allow a perfect transformation of the hue when fusing with your skin. The TLM foundation contains SPF 15 sun protection which protects your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. You just apply a small amount to the back of your hand and apply it gently to your face, working outward to even out creases and smooth lines. it will change to beautify and brighten your skin. It is designed for everyday use and will give your skin a silky shiny finish that other foundations do not provide.

My Results

Pros

I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that it works!! The color changed quick and matched my skin tone and matched with the ELF halo glow as well. I did a half and half comparison. Half of my face I used the ELF halo glow just to see what the results would be if I were to wear this under the foundation.

Like magic it matched both sides of my face almost perfectly. Of course, nothing is perfect, but this comes very close to a perfect match. And it’s buildable! There is a light fragrance but nothing overpowering, and it faded in a few seconds. The added SPF is also a wonderful bonus.

The price!! The cost for this foundation is very reasonable, on the official website it’s showing the price at $24.99. It can be purchased on Amazon for $14.99 which is where we purchased ours from. The $14.99 package included 2 bottles of foundation, 2 brushes and 2 beauty blenders.

Cons

In my experience with it there is only one con, and that would be the fact it stays a little tacky/sticky. I had to put a little extra powder in to counteract the tackiness. I did wait several minutes to an hour to see if the tackiness would go away on its own unfortunately it didn’t.  With aging skin a lot of powder isn’t always a good idea, but it seemed to sit well with the TLM color changing foundation.

When you factor in the reasonable prices for the foundation having this one slightly annoying con is actually very impressive in my opinion.

Would I recommend It?

Easy answer, yes, I would and yes, I have!! It can be very hard to find the right shade of foundation to match all skin tones. With the color matching technology, it takes the guess work out of the picture.

If you are one of those people who have a particularly tough time finding your shade, I highly suggest giving this one a try. You may be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
